Kali is the Hindu goddess of death, time, and doomsday. She is associated with sexuality and violence but is also considered a strong symbol of motherly love. I use the word “but” because sexuality is an anti-mother representation. A mother must be non-sexy in popular culture. Kali breaks the norm for us.
Kali embodies shakti – feminine energy, creativity, and fertility – and is an incarnation of Parvati, wife of the great Hindu god Shiva.
Shiva lies powerless as she is ready to eat him in her hunger.
So my lovely ladies never apologise for being horny, angry, hungry, and being scary. Protest if you find that they worship the goddess Kali but kills the average Kali who epitomises the symbolism of the goddess.
You are supposed to be angry against wrong or if you have been wronged.
Shubho Kali Pujo, Bandi Chor Divas, and a happy Diwali.
Lakshmi is sweet but Kali is the real deal.
